The locking mechanism must be integrated into a proper cylinder lock and be resistant to ‘bumping’, which is a commonly-used lock-picking technique
The door must be installed in a position that is conducive to ensuring that its framework and fixings are secured to the door, and the structure around the lock cavity should also be sufficiently strong
If all of these three attributes are present in a garage door, it is fairly safe to say that the door is secure without any certification, although additional hardware may be added to many different types of garage door to provide extra peace of mind.
