Types of awnings

Discover are range of awnings to enhance your out door living, with sun shading, waterproof, glass and free standing awnings available. Take a look below to find out more information.

Retractable awnings

Wall mounted, full cassette and retractable awnings

Our retractable awnings can be extended and retracted at any time. When not in use, they’re simply stored in a cassette, a casing which houses the fabric and machinery and can be exposed or concealed (full cassette). Our cassettes can be customised, with round, oval and square options among the most popular. And you can have wall mounted awnings that extend from the side of your property, such as over a patio or decked area.

Free standing awnings

Pergolas and free standing awnings

Awning canopies don’t have to be fixed to your property. You can have a freestanding awning anywhere in your garden, like covering a swimming pool or even a patch of lawn. Pergolas can be freestanding too, or attached to your home. These can have a retractable fabric or glass cover but have a permanent, fixed frame. This does mean that they can be more resistant to adverse weather, however.

Modern Awnings

Modern awnings

Our contemporary products suit almost any type of home, and aren’t just modern in appearance, but in functionality. For instance, you could opt for a custom awning with extras like lighting or heating built-in. Modern awnings can be a great way to improve your property’s profile.

Glass awnings

Glass rooms

You might think awning canopies are limited to fabrics like canvas, but you can also have sliding glass doors that create the ultimate ‘indoor out’ conservatory. Of course, there are also fixed glass awnings that can provide some shelter and cool shade all year round.

Waterproof Awnings

Sunshades, all weather, rainproof and waterproof awnings

If you’re wanting to make the most of your awning canopy, you’ll want to opt for something as weather-resistant as possible. We’ve a fantastic choice of all weather products as well as those that are rainproof and waterproof. We can also offer sunshades with colourfast fabrics; premium glass awnings; clever wind sensor technology and automatic canopies. Whatever you need, just ask.

Electric Awnings

Electric, automatic and motorised awnings

If budget allows, an electric awning can be much easier to retract and extend than a manual one. Motorised awnings feature a built-in motor and mechanical arms operated remotely. Finally, automatic awnings use the latest technology to sense adverse weather and retract your awning without any need to intervene.

Manual Awnings

Manual awnings

For the more budget-conscious, a manual awning can save on the cost of your finished product. These use a rotary handle (sometimes called a crank handle) to wind or unwind your awning canopy.

What’s the best kind of awning for me?

Looking for in-built heating?). These can help guide your decision-making. Our experts can also help advise you on what works best for your space and budget.

Who will fit my new awning?

Our installers. Every awning installer we employ is NVQ qualified, trained in a variety of areas (asbestos awareness, health and safety, working at heights), and provides the same high standards we’d want for our own homes. It’s just one more way we offer our customers peace of mind with their outdoor project.

How much does an awning cost?

You can expect to pay at least £2500 and perhaps as much as £10,000 for your dream awning. Of course, costs do vary. We’ll always be mindful of your budget to help you get the most for your money. To get started, just get in touch with our team.
