Side Hinged Garage Doors
Side hinged or ‘swing open’ doors have been around a very long time, and although the products that are installed on modern domestic properties have been refined somewhat, the term ‘barn door’ is also still used.
Side hinged doors are available with either a centre or off-centre split. An off-centre split creates an access door, which can be positioned either side of the main door. This can be particularly useful if you need to use the garage regularly for things that don’t involve a vehicle, like access to your freezer or gardening tools.
Side hinged garage doors are usually constructed from solid timber or steel and insulated weather-proof steel doors are also available.
Traditional side hinged garage doors are still very popular and feature a large range of design and colour options, we can even custom manufacture doors to specific needs or architectural plans.
