Hormann Georgian style up and over door with 4 point locking fitted in Leeds
A customer wanted to replace their old Henderson canopy up and over door for a more secure garage door. They also wanted to gain more drive through width. After discussing the options we decided to fit a Hormann Georgian style door with retractable door gear and 4 point locking.
Modern Hormann retractable doors are much more robust than some of the older doors. They are manufactured using thicker steel and have more structural reinforcement. The four point locking means the door has a locking mechanism at all four corners as opposed to the one single point locking mechanism on older products.
We removed the old door and frame and fitted the new Hormann door behind the opening brickwork. Fitting the door behind the brickwork eliminates the framework and provides much more drive through width.
The opening was finished with matching PVC including a section of PVC to cover the lintol.
