Resetting the Hormann RollMatic Series 2 and 3 Roller Garage Door Operator
Info Sheet: ABi014 – Resetting the Hormann RollMatic Series 2 and 3 Roller Garage Door Operator
1. Disconnect the unit from the mains power supply.
2. Press and hold the ‘T’ button whilst plugging the unit back into the mains.
The courtesy light will flash once and the red light around the ‘T’ button will start to flash, you can now release the button.
3. Press and release the ‘T’ button.
The courtesy light will flash and the door will then automatically open and close a number of times to set the open and close limits. It will finish in the open position and the courtesy light will stop flashing and stay on.
The door is now completely reset.
Please note: This will not affect any devices coded into the unit (hand transmitters, keypads ect). These will continue to operate the door.
Do you have a guide on how to do the fine adjustments, I have reset the limits however when my garage door is closed it’s rotating too far, I believe the adjustment is made using the POT p1 inside the controller can’t see any manual on line for using this adjustment, thanks in advance.
kind regards
matt
Hi Matt, We don’t have user guides for this type of adjustment. We would recommend a Hormann trained engineer carries out this type of work.
Im also get the same problem
Hi Niels,
For fine adjustments, we recommend having a trained engineer attend.
If you are local to Yorkshire, we can arrange this for you.
Alternatively, you can contact Hormann directly on 01530 513000
Hi. i tried all that but nothing happening with the door, The courtesy light keeps on flashing. The T button keeps on flashing aswell
Hi Thomas, this could indicate that the emergency release hasn’t been fully re-connected if pulled. I would make sure that the release wire is fed all the way through the wall. If that doesn’t help, or the release hasn’t been pulled, then I would recommend contacting your local Hormann dealer to take a look as it could indicate an issue with the motor.
My door “clonked” loudly everything it closed fully. I ran the setup procedure with a half inch wooden timber on the floor below where the door closes. Procedure done, remove timber, closed door, no “clonking”. Perfect
I have followed the reset procedure and the door raises and inch and then nothing happens, the light continues to flash. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hi Matt, This could possibly be because the door is not fully engaged in ‘automatic mode’ and is still partially in manual operation. It might be worth engaging the manual override then setting it back to automatic and then moving the curtain until it locks back in place. If you have an external manual release check that the steel cable is properly pushed back into the housing on the outside security box.
Hi
I have a Hormann Rollmatic. Is it possible to manually set the opening height or the closing height?
Hi Frank. For the original Rollmatic with a side mount chain drive motor, the opening and closing limits are automatically set when the motor meets an obstruction on the setup procedure. There is no manual adjustment option from the motor itself. The floor level and guide stops determine the limits.
