Leeds property gets an entrance and garage door overhaul
Matching composite and garage door case study
Our installation team made a very short trip across Meanwood, Leeds, to fit an eye-catching pair of matching doors recently. Below you’ll find a summary of what the customer was after, what we suggested and what we did to deliver it.
This certainly wasn’t a like-for-like replacement! Whilst the customer enjoyed the fact that their existing doors brightened up the exterior of their property, they were after a change from bright red. They also wanted to modernise the look of their entrance door but still have a manually operated up and over garage door. We were of course happy to oblige…
Offering a striking yet welcoming aesthetic, French Navy was soon decided as the choice of colour. This shade of dark blue is solemn enough to be subtle but bright enough to leave a real first impression, particularly when used on both doors. Endurance’s urban Totes composite door enabled the customer to retain the large amount of natural light that they were used to, however the tall, glazed area aligned to the right of the door delivered it in a more modern and unique way. The 900mm stainless steel flat pull handle was just the icing on the cake and ensured a final boost of kerb appeal, as did the matching letterplate. In terms of the garage door, Hörmann’s vertical design canopy model fit the bill perfectly. The industry leading German manufacturer makes these doors from galvanised steel and powder coats them with a quality finish, meaning they’re fully protected from the tough weather conditions that we often experience here in Yorkshire.
One of the more popular types of garage door on the market, up and over models are tried and tested, and as a result of that, they really are our bread and butter. We installed this one in between the garage opening to maximise the depth of the space and supplied it with a white frame to match the entrance door. As always, great care was also taken when installing the customer’s front door. Our in-house fitting teams carry out their work to the highest of standards, and because of this, our clients benefit from a long list of advantages, such as increased thermal efficiency and enhanced security.
