Welcome to ABi Doors Halifax! We are a family owned and run Yorkshire business and have been supplying and installing garage doors, entrance doors and awnings in Halifax and the surrounding area for over 30 years.

We have also recently taken over 1st Garage Doors, after the retirement of our friend and long-standing partner, Graham Higgins. Graham established the business in Halifax in the 1980’s and built a reputation for his customer service and high-quality door installations. We are proud to continue his legacy and continue to provide a level of service and quality of work that is second to none.

Up and Over Doors

Up and Over

Our up and over garage doors require little maintenance and come with a steel frame. They’re safe, secure and available in either canopy or retractable door gear. Up and over doors have a standard range of colours, designs and finishes available. ABi Garage Doors Halifax also offers a custom colour service. Roller Doors


Roller garage doors are a great product if you require more space inside your garage. They roll vertically up into a coil behind the entrance and come in either insulated or single skin laths. Here at ABi, we have a wide range of colours, designs and finishes available (which come in both manual and automatic versions). Insulated Roller Doors

Insulated Roller

Insulated aluminium roller doors add value and also help keep your garage warmer and your house if attached to the garage. They also offer more weather protection to your garage through the use of seals around the door. They’re also thicker and stronger than your regular steel security roller shutter door. Sectional Doors


Sectional garage doors are reliable, secure, weather resistant and insulated. Our range uses 42mm thick insulated panels which open vertically up into your garage ceiling. In addition, the models are optimally sealed at all four sides of the garage using flexible and weather-resistant seals.

Side Sliding Doors

Side Sliding

Side sliding garage doors are made up of 42mm thick insulated panels and have weather-resistant seals around the door. They operate on a top and bottom track which slides around the corner of your garage wall. The side sliding garage door comes in a range of colours, designs and finishes.

Overlap Doors


Overlap garage doors are a similar construction to the much-loved insulated sectional garage door and they retain all the same benefits but operate on a trackless system. When the door vertically opens, the panels fold on top of each other. We have models available in a great range of colours, designs and finishes.

Side Hinged

Side Hinged

ide hinged (or ‘barn style’) doors swing outwards to open and are available in insulated and non-insulated versions. You can also choose if you want the doors to open centre split or off-centre split. They’re great if you are accessing the garage multiple times a day or using the space as storage. Aluminium Frame Doors

Aluminium Frame

Aluminium frame or fully glazed sectional doors, operate in the same way as a sectional door but instead of filled panels they’re an open for infill aluminium frame and you can choose Hormann’s range of glazed panels for the door, they allow for better ventilation and more light.
