How Cedar sectional’s work
Cedar sectionals work in the exact same way as other types of sectional’s such as Hormann and CarTeck, they operate vertically on hinged panels using specified door gear for the weight of the door. The only difference is the construction of the hinged panels, they’re created from Kiln dried Western Red Cedar, using traditional timber construction methods. The door panels are 42mm thick and solid. Available in standard or bespoke sizes with a huge range of designs and finishes to choose from.

Can the doors be made to operate with an electric motor?
Yes, all Cedar sectional doors can be manual or automatic, but be aware they’re 42mm thick and solid, which makes them very heavy, and harder to operate when manual. It’s recommended you use an operator with these types of doors. A smaller width sized door will be easier to operate manually.
Do the doors require maintenance?
Yes, you need to understand these products will require more maintenance than a typical steel or aluminium door, because the door will start to decay and rot over years due to weather erosion. All cedar doors are coated with Sikkens light oak stain which is a mild stain that will allow your doors to be protected for up to 6 weeks if you would prefer to finish the door yourself in a top coat paint finish, alternatively Cedar will finish the door in any paint colour of your choosing.
